Welcome to the Soma Matha House, a residential Hindu and Yogic practice center operated by Soma Matha Spiritual Center. The Soma Matha House is a Victorian Era residential home being restored by Soma Matha Spiritual Center and opened in 2021. Located on 2 acres in the grounding peace of Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, USA. The Soma Matha House has a calming and home-like setting offering spiritual teachings, prayer, and karma yoga. It is a sanctuary for spiritual seekers and Hindu devotees around the globe. Within the home there is one comfortable and light-filled private bedroom for Karma Yogis, a healing room where East Flora Wellness offers Ayurvedic bodywork, and sitting areas for prayer or meditation. The Soma Matha House Temple Room is a mystical space where Puja and prayer services are performed regularly. It is also the resting place for two murtis, one black granite Murugan and a Jade Sri Yantra. Throughout the home the atmosphere is serene and meditative. The Soma Matha House has a full dining room and kitchen allowing volunteers and Center guests to enjoy a temple meal after prayer services.

Visitation Information
HoursThe center is open to the public monthly every Full Moon and First Friday for public events and by appointment.

Dress CodeGuests are encouraged to dress in traditional Hindu clothing when visiting. Alternatively, modest clothing is permitted. No shorts, short dresses, tight-fitting yoga pants, or tank tops.

ProtocolInside the Devi Temple, guests should ideally sit cross-legged, with never with legs stretched out towards the Deity.
