We recently receive panchaloha (five-metal) statues of the Navagrahas (the Nine Planets of Vedic Astrology) cast in Swamimalai.
These images will be used in pujas designed to help mitigate the karmas indicated by the Planets and to generate blessings for society by performing regular puja to the Planets. For this purpose, we plan to energize these statues through havan and kumbhabhishekam rituals schedule for the morning of Saturday, March 1st. That day is an auspicious Vedic month and tithi and Nakshtras for such rituals. Between 10:07 and 10:18 am, Jupiter is placed well in the ascendent and in the Navamsha of Vargottama Taurus. Venus is placed well in the 11th house as well at this time. These Astrological factors and others makes this a very suitable time for rituals like kumbhabhishekam. It is through the sacred rituals like kumbhabhishekam that mere statues (bimbas) become consecrated icons of the Deities (Vigrahas). This is a unique opportunity to sponsor these rituals which will begin to establish the sacred shakti in these special images of the Nine planets.
